Our Little Village on Needle Palm đźŚż

It didn’t start as anything official.

Just a group of people who had already been doing life together—friends, family, and somewhere along the way, friends who became family. Over time, more of us ended up close to each other. Some right on the same street, others just around the corner… but all part of the same circle.

We call ourselves the Needle Nesters.

Because the majority of us live on Needle Palm—that’s where the story usually begins. It’s where most of the memories are made. The kind of street where something is always going on, where life happens right out in the open. A live-action street, full of stories being written as we go.

We live life side by side, day in and day out, and somehow, over time, we built this little village without really setting out to.

And even though not everyone lives on the exact street, it doesn’t really matter. They’re still part of this thing we’ve created. Still part of what we call family.

What makes it work isn’t anything complicated. It’s just how life overlaps.

Our group is made up of multi-generational people who have grown up together—and are still growing up together. The kids move from house to house like it’s second nature. The adults pick up conversations wherever they left off. There’s always something going on, even when nothing is planned.

A quick stop outside turns into staying a little longer.
Dinner at home sometimes turns into dinner together.
And the small, everyday moments end up being the ones that matter most.

It’s not perfect, and it’s definitely not quiet, but it’s steady. It’s familiar. And it’s the kind of connection people don’t always come by easily.

And right in the middle of it all, the kids are growing up side by side—without even realizing how special that is yet.

This blog will be about gatherings, food, and making things feel a little more thoughtful… but the reason behind all of it starts here.

With this street.
This group.
This little village we’ve built over time.

And if you’re part of it, you already know 🤍
